Coaching Philosophy:

My coaching philosophy centers on the overall journey for both the individual and the team. I believe player development on and off the field is intertwined, with confidence playing a key role. I emphasize leading by example through commitment, dedication, and hard work, while creating an environment that is fun, challenging, and competitive.

Which of our club’s core values resonate most with you, and how do you incorporate them into your coaching style? (Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Commitment, Honesty)

The core values of respect, empathy, accountability, commitment, and honesty all resonate with me. I strive to incorporate these into my coaching by creating a culture of respect and accountability, while showing empathy and understanding for each player’s journey. I also aim to demonstrate commitment and honesty in my interactions with players, parents, and fellow coaches.

What inspired you to become a coach, and how does this passion align with our mission?

My love for sports and competition inspired me to become a coach. Teaching and coaching are in my blood, and I’m passionate about helping players achieve their goals and develop into leaders and good citizens. This aligns perfectly with Oakwood’s mission to enrich the community through life-enduring experiences in soccer.
